Purushottam Maas, also known as Adhik Maas, is a rare and supremely auspicious month dedicated entirely to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Krishna—Purushottam. Unlike other months, this sacred period offers an extraordinary opportunity to accelerate one’s spiritual progress through devotional activities such as hearing, chanting, reading scriptures, and performing acts of charity. Among all forms of charity, the gift of transcendental knowledge stands as the highest, and there is no greater scripture to distribute than the divine Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam.
Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is not an ordinary book. It is the essence of all Vedic literature, the spotless Purāṇa, and the ripened fruit of the desire tree of Vedic wisdom. It reveals the ultimate truth about the Supreme Lord, our eternal relationship with Him, and the process of devotional service that leads to perfection.
