Rama Navami 2025 – Celebrating the Appearance of Lord Ramachandra- Splendid Rama Navami Celebrated at ISKCON Juhu, 6th April 2025
ISKCON Juhu joyfully celebrated the divine appearance of Lord Ramachandra on Rama Navami, 6th April 2025, with immense devotion and spiritual grandeur. Lord Rama, the ideal king and embodiment of virtue, appeared in Treta-yuga to uphold dharma and inspire generations with His exemplary character.
The day began with an auspicious Shobha Yatra at Juhu Beach, where Their Lordships Sri Sri Sita Rama Laxman Hanuman were carried in a gorgeously decorated flower palanquin, accompanied by ecstatic kirtan from devotees. Onlookers paused to receive the darshan and blessings of the Lord in this blissful public procession.
Thousands of devotees thronged the temple throughout the day for darshan, as the Deities stood resplendent in new festival outfits on an intricately decorated altar of flowers and fruits. Special darshan arrangements and lunch prasadam were made for Life Patrons and guests.
A spiritually uplifting Kalash Abhishek was performed by hundreds of devotees, followed by the grand Maha Abhishek, during which the Deities were bathed with panchamrita, panchagavya, sacred herbs, and showered with fragrant flower petals.
The temple glowed in the evening with ornamental lights and vivid floral decorations, culminating in the enchanting Boat Festival, where the Deities were gently taken around in a swan-shaped boat, mesmerizing all present.
Adding depth to the celebration, HG Sarvabhauma Prabhu, a senior Vaishnava and speaker, delivered inspiring Rama-katha discourses in the lead-up to the festival, filling hearts with the glories of Lord Rama’s life and teachings.
The ISKCON Youth Forum (IYF) staged a captivating theatrical drama depicting the pastime of Lord Rama slaying Bali, performed at the ISKCON Auditorium, drawing wide appreciation.
Throughout the five days leading up to Rama Navami, the Food for Life team lovingly prepared and distributed thousands of hot prasadam plates consisting of rice, dal, sabji, puri, and halava—serving every soul who visited the temple with care and devotion.
Rama Navami 2025 was not just a celebration, but a profound reminder of Lord Rama’s compassion, courage, and unwavering devotion to dharma—reviving spiritual joy in every heart.
