Magnificent Janmashtami Celebrations at ISKCON Juhu – 16 August 2025 🌟
ISKCON Juhu joyously celebrated the divine appearance day of Lord Sri Krishna—Sri Krishna Janmashtami—on 16 August 2025 with grandeur, devotion, and spiritual fervor. Months of dedicated preparations bore fruit as thousands of visitors thronged the temple to have darshan of Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari, beautifully adorned in an exquisite blue and silver outfit, radiating divine grace.
The temple premises were transformed into a spiritual sanctuary, with splendid floral decorations, artistic lighting effects, and thematic displays that mesmerized onlookers and evoked a heavenly atmosphere.
The auspicious day began with Mangala Arati attended by enthusiastic devotees in the early hours of the morning. As the day progressed, even larger crowds gathered for the Sringar Darshan, followed by a captivating discourse on the glories and pastimes of Lord Krishna delivered by HG Devakinandan Das, inspiring hearts and deepening spiritual reflection.
To manage the large influx of devotees, the temple made meticulous arrangements for crowd flow, darshan queues, prasadam distribution, and special access for Life Patrons, Kalash donors, and Darshan Pass holders. Every visitor received a cup of hot, delicious halava prasadam, while Life Patrons enjoyed a full Ekadasi prasadam meal, served with warmth and devotion.
A special attraction was the Radha Krishna Festival, which featured cultural performances, devotional exhibits, chanting areas, and **interactive spiritual stalls. Notable exhibits, Book stalls & Booths’ helped visitors engage with the essence of Krishna consciousness in a personal and meaningful way.
The highlight of the celebration was the midnight darshan and Maha-abhishek. As the clock struck twelve—the divine moment of Lord Krishna’s birth—the temple resounded with the ecstatic chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra. Devotees witnessed the Utsav Murtis of Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari being bathed in sacred substances including milk, honey, yogurt, ghee, and fruit juices, followed by Maha-arati and lavish bhoga offerings.
The night concluded with a grand Ekadasi prasadam feast, lovingly prepared and served to all, marking the perfect conclusion to a day of fasting, devotion, and celebration. The 2025 Janmashtami celebration at ISKCON Juhu was a sublime reminder of the timeless joy of Krishna's appearance and the boundless grace He bestows upon His devotees.
