Celebrating the Glorious Temple Anniversary – 14th January 2025

On 14th January 2025, ISKCON Juhu joyously celebrates the 47th Anniversary of the majestic Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari Temple, a spiritual landmark that has stood as a beacon of devotion and culture since its grand inauguration in 1978.

What began as a humble offering in a small thatched hut, guided by Srila Prabhupada’s solemn promise to build a beautiful temple for Their Lordships, has now blossomed into a sacred destination visited by millions annually. This celebration marks not only the completion of another remarkable year but also the fulfillment of a vision built on faith, dedication, and service.

The day begins with a vibrant Mangala Arati, followed by a special Abhishek Ceremony, where all the temple Deities—Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari, Sri Sri Gaur Nitai, Sri Govardhan, and Sri Sri Sita Rama Laxman Hanuman—are lovingly bathed with auspicious items amidst soul-stirring kirtans.

Dwaja Aarohan, the ceremonial hoisting of flags bearing the emblem of Garuda atop the temple domes, sets a divine tone for the evening. The temple grounds overflow with devotees soaking in the devotional ambiance, intricate flower decorations, and the Deities’ resplendent darshan in Their festival attire.

Distinguished sannyasis and senior disciples of Srila Prabhupada will share heartfelt recollections and inspiring messages on the temple terrace, offering the gathered devotees a glimpse into the early years of Hare Krishna Land.

No festival at ISKCON Juhu is complete without prasadam—a hot, wholesome meal lovingly served to all visitors, reminding everyone of the warmth and inclusiveness that this temple embodies.

As we celebrate 47 years of grace and growth, we invite you to be part of this transcendental occasion—a festival of gratitude, remembrance, and deep spiritual joy.
