Radhashtami – The Most Auspicious Day Celebrated with Deep Devotion at ISKCON Juhu
Radhashtami, the divine appearance day of Srimati Radharani, was celebrated with deep devotion and joy at ISKCON Juhu on 31st August 2025.
Born in Raval, near Nandagrama, as the daughter of King Vrishabhanu and Queen Kirtida, Radharani is revered as the supreme embodiment of compassion and the greatest devotee of Lord Krishna, guiding all souls toward Him.
The celebrations began at Mangala Arati, with devotees receiving the first darshan of Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari in Their new morning outfit. In the evening, the Deities were adorned in breathtaking flower outfits, beautifully crafted by the congregation, amidst vibrant floral decorations that filled the temple with the atmosphere of Vrindavan.
Throughout the day, devotees immersed themselves in spiritual discourses, melodious kirtans, bhajans, the grand Maha-Abhishek and Maha-Arati, accompanied by hundreds of bhoga offerings lovingly prepared for Their Lordships. The highlight of the festival was the boat festival, where the Utsav Murtis of Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari graced a flower-decked silver boat in a lotus-filled courtyard, captivating everyone present.
The Radhashtami celebrations of 2025 left devotees deeply touched by Radharani’s mercy, reminding all that by pleasing Her, one attains the boundless grace of Lord Krishna.
