Pitru Paksha is a sacred period to remember our departed ancestors and offer prayers for their spiritual welfare. Ancestors are eagerly waiting for blessings. Lord Krishna’s blessings are the best gift for the forefathers. Lord Krishna is pleased when cows and devotees are served.

This Pitru Paksha, let us honour our ancestors through Gau Seva, Sadhu Bhojan and Brahmana Bhojan. Vedic culture teaches the importance of “go-viprārthāsavaḥ”—dedication of one's life and resources for the protection of cows and the welfare of Brāhmaṇas. --Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 3.3.28
The Bhāgavatam also describes the proper worship of “pitṝn devān ... viprān”—the forefathers, demigods and Brāhmaṇas—and feeding them properly Krishna Prasad. --Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 10.53.10
This Pitru Paksha, feed the devotees of ISKCON Juhu and cows at Nilachal Vedic Village and get the blessings of Lord Krishna for your forefathers. Let us transform our remembrance of our departed loved ones into devotional service offered for the pleasure of Śrī Kṛṣṇa. As devotees, our ultimate purpose is “śaraṇaṁ śaraṇyaṁ”—to take shelter of the Supreme Lord.
