Thousands Visit Temple on 1 January ‘13

More than 800 citizens of Mumbai participated in the New Year 2013 celebration hosted on 31 December 2012 from 7pm till midnight. However, a much bigger and intense crowd thronged the temple throughout the day on 1 January 2013 to behold Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Rasabihariji on the first day of the year. People started to pour in at the temple at the wee hours of the morning and were treated with a special Mangala-arati darshan wherein the Deities were gorgeously dressed and the highlight was that Srimati Radharani adorned in the beautiful golden yellow sari.

The stream of visitors continued to flood the temple throughout the day for all the respective aratis including Sringar-arati, Raj-bhoga arati, Uthapanna arati and reached its pinnacle at Sandhya arati which saw a completely packed house with people trying to get a short glimpse of Their Lordships.

Hundreds of visitors joined in the disappearance day celebrations of Bhaktisiddanata Saraswati Thakur (spiritual master of Srila Prabhupada) by offering pushpanjali (flower petals) and honoring lunch prasada thereafter.
