Radhastami Celebrated on 23 Sep 2012
Radhastami, the auspicious appearance day of Srimati Radharani, was celebrated on 25 September 2012. In the mood of Sri Radha, who is eternally engaged in service of Lord Krishna, hundreds of congregation devotees and volunteers came together to offer various services to host a grand festival. Congregation devotees strived hard to put together richly decorated flower outfits for all the Deities on the altar, which is a once-in-a-year phenomenon at the temple.
Several visitors were left spellbound when they saw the temple courtyard transform into ‘Prem Sarovar’ – a replicate of a pond in Vrindavan (where Sri Sri Radha Krishna perform various pastimes) with a striking pink lotus flower pattern floating on the water.
Festivities at the temple also included Shobha-yatra, maha-abhishek, maha-arati, discourses, kirtan and prasada distribution. HH Gopal Krishna Goswami, ISKCON Trustee, encouraged devotees in various services through his presence and participation at all Radhastami related events.
