Beautiful Patterns through DanceEvery New Year's Eve, it’s common sight for people to have an enjoyable evening. In every party one is sure to find food, music, dance, games, laughter and fun but at Sri Sri Radharasabihari Temple’s “Transcendental New Year Party” there was something more one could sense-the air was filled with the blessings of Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari as the new year was ushered in.With an awesome open to sky lawn bedecked with beautiful lighting and stage decorations, the ambience was most welcoming. The party started off with spiritual theme games and Ekadashi dinner Prasad for all guests. There were over 800 attendees consisting of families, friends, devotees and life members who had decided to bring in 2011 with a difference! After attempting the challenging games, the crowd was anxious for the Transcendental Home Game, a special housie designed and conducted by H.G. Krishnamayi devi dasi, based on the wonderful names of the Lord, to begin. Paving the way with the beautiful innumerable names of Lord Krishna and of course, several prizes, it was time to sit back and enjoy some lively dance performances by a group of girl devotees. The show-stopper was the “Dasavataar “dance performed with precision and astounding co-ordination by young kids from Krishna Kids Club, Goregaon(E). By now, the crowd was asking for more! This was followed by a light skit with an important message by members of BhaktiVriksh group, conducted by H.G. Mukund Madhav das. The tone for the new year was set by a talk by H.G. Devakinandan das. By now, the clock was preparing to strike midnight. The crowd then got on their feet and were set singing and dancing to the Hare Krishna mahamantra by the Go-pals beat group. Whilst colorful fire crackers exploded in the midnight sky, devotees hearts were exploding with the joy, delight, happiness and energy of the mahamantra kirtan.

Thus there was made an auspicious start to the New Year amidst the blessings of Their Lordships Sri Sri RadhaRasabihariji. May the joy of Krishna consciousness continue to guide the lives of all throughout the year ahead! Wishing everyone a happy Krishna conscious 2011!
