Lord of the Universe Rides Through Streets of Mumbai
A talented team of devotees visited Mumbai to present a cultural extravaganza ‘Krishna Fest’ as part of Rath yatra celebration on 15 &16 February 2014. Krishna Fest is a unique presentation by a forty strong crew of dancers, actors, yoga performers, acrobats, musicians and techies which hail from 15 countries around the world. It aims to showcase the Vedic philosophy through various forms of art such as dance, music, puppetry, plays, etc and inspire the citizens of Mumbai, especially the youth and children, to embrace the ancient message of the Vedas. The show is coordinated by Viva Kulture Foundation (Poland) under the guidance of HH Indraydumna Swami. The event, which was a runaway hit, included Orissi dance piece by a Russian performer, a thrilling martial art performance by an Estonian devotee, magic show, puppet show by a team of Russian devotees showcasing pastimes from Bhagavatam & Ramayana, a contemporary play on Bhagavad-gita and mesmerizing kirtan by HH Indradyumna Swami and his troupe.
