Lord Jagannath installed at Bhaktivedanta Swami Mission School

The deities of Lord Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra were officially installed in all splendour in ceremonies spanning 2 days, 12 and 13 January 2013.

The ceremonies were attended by a host of devotees from all over and performed by Shitalanga Das and Sevatulya Das with HH Gopal Krishna Goswami and HH Radhanath Swami as the Chief Guests.

The Bhaktivedanta Swami Mission School, affiliated to the ICSE Board and run by the ISKCON Trust has functioned since 1988 at the Hare Krishna Land, Juhu. Recently, on 7 July 2012 the school premises moved to its ultra modern, top-of-the-line new location at Shastri Nagar, Andheri.

The Deity Installation ceremony included Deities welcoming ceremony, special abhishek, maha-arati and offerings of special items and bhoga.Donors and others who facilitated the development of this new School project were also felicitated during the ceremonies. A special yajna was conducted for the students of Std. X for success in their Board exams.

The program concluded with a tour of the school and delicious lunch prasada. Darshan of the Deities is open for all from 5am – 7am and 4pm – 8pm.
