Lord Caitanaya bestows His mercy to thousands on His appearance day

Lord Caitanya is the Supreme Person, Krishna, appearing as His own worshiper. He is the combined form of Krishna and Krishna's most dear devotee, Srimati Radharani. He came to experience the love She feels for Him, and to show by example how to fully surrender to Krishna.

He exhibited symptoms of love of God to the highest degree, and emphasized chanting the holy names Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare as the best means to attain love of God.

 In the eleventh canto of Srimad Bhagavatam the following verse is found: 

 krishna-varnam tvishakrishnam 
sangopangastra-parshadam 
yajnaih sankirtana-prayair 
yajanti hi su-medhasah

 "In the age of Kali, intelligent persons perform congregational chanting to worship the incarnation of Godhead, who constantly sings the name of Krishna. Although His complexion is not blackish, He is Krishna Himself. He is accompanied by His associates, servants, weapons, and confidential companions."

 Lord Caitanya’s appearance is celebrated as the Gaura Purnima festival which fell on 8 March 2012. Celebrations at the temple included mangala-arati, shobha yatra at Juhu beach where several onlookers gathered to participate in chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, Sringar darshan wherein devotees and well-wishers beholded the form of Their Lordships in Their new pink and silver outfits, narration of glories of Lord Caitanya by Bhaktarupa Dasa followed in evening by elaborate abhishek witnessed by thousands, Gaura – arati and prasada for all.
