Holy Trip Inspires Bhakti Vriksha Members
During the auspicious month of Damodara (Kartik), a group of devotees who are part of the Bhakti Vriksha program at the temple, visited the Char Dhams of Mewar, Pushkar and Gupt Vrindavan (Jaipur) in Rajasthan. The yatra (trip) began with a visit to the ‘Char Dhams of Mewar’ namely SriNathji in Nathdwara, Eklingji, Dwarkadishji and Charbhujaji. After visiting the Char Dhams of Mewar, the devotees proceeded to Pushkar which houses the only temple for Lord Brahma in the world. At Pushkar, they also visited Sri Rangnath Temple, Sri Narsimha Temple and Sri Varaha Temple.
The last leg of the journey saw them pay a visit several ancient and significant temples of Lord Krishna at Jaipur namely Sri Sri Radha Damodar, Sri Sri Radha Bansilal, Sri Sri Radha Govinda, Sri Sri Radha Gopinath and Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohan (at Karauli). Devotees honored offered ghee lamps to Lord Damodar during their visit to Sri Sri Giridhari Dauji Temple, ISKCON Jaipur.
The tour was conducted by Mukunda Madhava Das who enlightened the group about the significance of a respective Holy Name, the story explaining the origin of the presiding Deity there and other related pastimes. The yatra ended with transcendental memories, energizing the groups’ spiritual batteries and increasing their spiritual zest with more determination for advancing in their Krishna Consciousness.
