Donate on the Auspicious Makar Sankranti
Makar Sankranti marks the auspicious transition of the Sun into Makara (Capricorn), signifying a shift from darkness to light and from ignorance to spiritual awakening. Scriptures glorify this sacred day as especially favourable for dāna (charity), as charity given on Makar Sankranti yields inexhaustible spiritual merit and attracts the mercy of the Lord.
At ISKCON Mumbai, devotees and well-wishers are encouraged to participate in annadāna, gau-sevā, book distribution, deity worship, and devotional services, which directly please Lord Sri Krishna and benefit countless living beings. Charity offered on this day, when done with devotion and humility, purifies the heart, nullifies sinful reactions, and brings lasting spiritual prosperity to the well-wishers and their family.
By supporting ISKCON’s seva on Makar Sankranti, one not only upholds Vedic tradition but also becomes an instrument of compassion in spreading Sanatan Dharma for the welfare of society.
