Dignity Foundation Members Connect With Lord Krishna
Dignity Foundation, a society for senior citizens, organized a special program ‘Dignity Spirituals’ for its members in collaboration with ISKCON Juhu on 14 October 2012.
Several Dignatarian attended the evening program at ISKCON Auditorium which began with a play ‘Sanatana Goswami and the jewel’ enacted by members of Dignity Foundation with script inputs from devotees at ISKCON Juhu. The drama concluded with the actors enlightening all present that the only real precious thing in this world is the Holy Names of the Lord and encouraged everyone to chant the Hare Krishna Mantra.
The play was followed by a spiritual discourse on ‘Living Life the Krishna Way after 60’ by Bhima Das, ISKCON Trustee. He eloquently explained the message of Bhagavad-gita and explained how service to the Lord was not limited by physical age of a person. He explained the nature of the soul, body and its connection with Lord Krishna. The highlight of the discourse was an informative Questions and Answer session where several Dignatarians posed queries related how to quell boredom, how to practically apply the message of Bhagavad-gita, etc.
Mahaprabhu Das, a senior devotee at ISKCON and lawyer by professional, invited all senior citizens to fruitfully engage their time by chanting the Hare Krishna Mantra. He distributed chanting beads to all and demonstrated how to chant the Hare Krishna Mantra on beads.
The evening ended with wonderful prasada for all. Dignity Foundation team expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Braja Hari Das, Temple President and Gokuleshwar Das for coordinating the program.
