Devotee Distribute Bhagavad-gita to More than 1.5 Lakh People
Thousands of people from every walk of life where introduced to Bhagavad-gita As It Is during the month of December by scores of ISKCON devotees who challenged all obstacles that came their way to bring to people the eternal message of Lord Krishna.
Some of the many places devotees distributed books were market places, business centers, railways stations, temple stall, etc. As a special initiative on occasion of Gita Jayanti which fell on 31 December this year, members of the management visited Arthur Road Jail and shared the sublime message of Lord Krishna and distributed a copy of Bhagavad-gita As It to all inmates. A total of 1.5lakh Bhagavad-gita As It Is and other books published were Bhaktivedanta Book Trust were distributed in the month of December.
Besides Mumbai, devotees reached out to several villages in the interiors of Maharastra and two buses with devotees each toured throughout Maharashtra to make available copies of Bhagavad-gita in local languages. During the month of December, ISKCON devotees across the world distribute copies of Bhagavad-gita As It Is, translated by A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, as part of Bhagavad-gita Book Distribution Marathon.
