Bhakti Shastri Students visit Nilachal Dham Farm
The yearly Bhakti Shastri course conducted at ISKCON Juhu concluded in September 2012 with a picnic for all participates to Nilachal Dham Farm on 16 September. In the year 2011, forty-five congregation members enrolled for the Bhakti Shastri course to gain deeper knowledge about Vedic scriptures and understand several books translated by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
The detailed course concluded in September 2011 with a picnic for all participants to Nilachal Dham Farm, an eco-friendly initiative by ISKCON Juhu. Mukunda Madhava Das and Rupa Vilas Das coordinated the picnic which saw all the participants visit the farm goshala (cowshed), play games, perform drama and kirtan, listen to spiritual discourse and honor organic prasada with vegetables grown on the farm. The most awaited moment at the picnic was the announcement of Bhakti Shastri graduation results. Mukunda Madhava Das revealed that twenty eight students have cleared the course out of the forty five participants.
The Bhakti Shastri is an educational program conducted for dedicated congregation devotees by senior and qualified devotees which spans through a period of one year.
