Bhakti Lata Girls Forum Celebrates Fourth Anniversary
Bhakti-lata Youth Forum (BLYF) for girls celebrated its fourth anniversary this November through a special program which started off by melodious kirtan by 'Manjaris'- BLYF's kirtan group who also perform kirtan in the main temple hall every second Saturday of the month. Comprising of thirty regular members, the forum is also attended by a few senior citizens who are boisterously youthful in their outlook. A graceful Sri Radha-Krishna dance was put up by two such members, Sunita Kapoor and Rita Minocha.
This was followed by a hilarious contemporary drama in colloquial Hindi about two robbers (enacted by Anindita Kundu and Hemal Naik) who eventually lose their heart to the maha- mantra. A graceful classical dance was thereafter presented by Meghna Choudhury Siwal based on the various pastimes of Lord Krishna. The program culminated with an address by Krishnamayi Devi Dasi and reading of slokas from the Bhagavad-gita. Offering the BLYF Logo bouquet to the Lord, Damodarastakam prayers and the cake-cutting program inspired the group to come together in dance and kirtan. A sumptuous feast was served to all guests and members.
Bhakti-lata Youth Forum for girls is a weekly program for girls conducted on every Saturday evenings.
