As part of the World Holy Name Week celebrations, devotees at Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari Temple chanted an increased number of rounds daily besides their regular 16 rounds and also read from ‘Namamrita’ (a book of Srila Prabhupada’s written instructions on the chanting of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra) daily after the mangala-arati.
Vrindavan recreated for Sri Radhastami
Hundreds of devotees and congregation members attended the mangala-arati which marked one of the first celebrations of the day to celebrate the appearance of Srimati Radharani. More congregation members and devotees joined later for the Shobha-yatra where they carried the utsava-murti of Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari on the silver palanquin and circumbulated the temple thrice before proceeding to the temple decorated with multi-colored flowers in designs of stars, butterflies, etc for Sringar-darshan.
Devotees learned more about the divine qualities of Srimati Radharani through a discourse given by Srila Prabhupada (through a tape which was played in the temple hall) followed by glories of Srimati Radharani by Bhima prabhu (Zonal Secretary).
