24 – Hours Kirtan Held in ISKCON Juhu
A special 24-hours kirtan was organized on 11 October 2012 as part of the World Holy Name Week celebrations. All the four ISKCON temples in Mumbai (namely at Juhu, Chowpatty, Mira Road and Khargar) celebrated the World Holy Name Week from 5 – 14 October.
Resident devotees, brahmacaris (celibate members), congregation members, members from Youth Forum and ladies group formed small groups and performed kirtan for the pleasure for the presiding Deity Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari. Visitors at the temple immersed themselves in hearing and chanting the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra as they joined the lead singers throughout the day. The spiritual vibration of the Holy Name not only brought peace but also sowed the seeds of love for Their Lordships in the hearts of everyone who heard the divine Holy Name.
The kirtan began in the temple hall on 11 October at 10am and concluded on 12 October 2012 with breaks for respective aratis and Srimad Bhagavatam discourse.
